We infused lightweight jojoba oil with calming calendula + marshmallow root. Then we invited nourishing grass-fed tallow, Vitamin E, and healing botanicals to come on in. All together? Acne-banishing, anti-aging goodness. Honey-sweet helichrysum isn’t just a divine aroma — it helps your skin cells regenerate, so you can sport your golden-sunbeam-glow.

It starts with the egg.

A healthy yolk should have the same rich, golden glow that it can give your skin. We hand gather and freeze-dry pastured eggs from the happiest, healthiest hens we know. (Hint: they’re ours!)

Low in PUFAs 

Our jojoba oil, grass-fed tallow, vitamin E, and essential oils are all low in PUFAs (Polyunsaturated Fatty Acids). This means that the ingredients are stable, and less prone to oxidation. In contrast, many food and beauty products are made with high-PUFA oils, which become rancid and create an inflammatory response in the complexion. Not so here!

Let's breakdown the benefits:

Egg Yolk 

Egg yolks are rich in essential fatty acids which can lend moisture to the skin and create a radiant look. Applying egg yolks to your face helps to regenerate cells, and the presence of vitamin B3 is known for its anti-inflammatory properties. Yolks are also high in Vitamin A, which is wonderful for acne prone skin. The proteins in eggs can help to improve elasticity. Contains Vitamins E and D.

Jojoba oil

Low PUFA Jojoba Oil has lovely anti-inflammatory properties which help to tame chaffing and chapping, reduce redness caused by drying, ease the effects of eczema and rosacea, and keep skin calm and comfortable. The Vitamin E and B-complex vitamins in the Jojoba Oil also help in skin repair. Jojoba is similar to our own skin’s sebum, making it bio-adaptable and easy to absorb without clogging pores.

Calendula

Calendula is rich in antioxidants, and is very nourishing to the skin. It can help to soothe irritation and reduce sensitivity, as well as decrease redness. Calendula’s skin-soothing benefits can likely be attributed to its anti-inflammatory properties and ability to limit trans-epidermal water loss. This can strengthen the skin’s defenses against potential irritants. Calendula is also particularly rich in linoleic acid, the most abundant fatty acid in the skin’s natural moisture barrier. Thus, calendula can help to maintain skin hydration and health. 

Grass-fed Tallow

Tallow is deeply nourishing and moisturizing. The fatty acids in tallow are much closer in molecular structure to the oils our own skin produces than the more commonly used plant oils. In addition, tallow is extremely rich in the same kinds of lipids present in youthful, vibrant skin. Being chock full of vitamins A, D, E, & K doesn't hurt either! 

Marshmallow Root

The anti-inflammatory properties of marshmallow root may help relieve skin irritation caused by acne, furunculosis, eczema, and dermatitis, as well as aiding in wound healing. Marshmallow root may enhance the appearance of skin that has experienced UV damage.

Vitamin E oil

Vitamin E is antioxidant-rich and can improve your blood circulation. Its moisturizing properties can make your skin look firm and youthful, as well as helping to slow down the skin aging process. The combination of vitamin A (in things like egg yolks, beeswax, etc.) and vitamin E may help in removing acne-causing bacteria. Vitamin E can also reduce hyperpigmentation and scarring. 

Turmeric Extract

Turmeric is a strong anti-inflammatory and antiseptic agent that may be beneficial for areas of irritation and redness. Turmeric is believed to cleanse, clarify, smooth, calm, invigorate, and brighten the skin; generally supporting skin health. Turmeric may also diminish the appearance of blemishes and wrinkles. 

Frankincense Essential Oil

Frankincense is a powerful astringent, which helps to protect skin cells. It can be used to help reduce blemishes and mask the appearance of large pores. Frankincense may also help to lift and tighten the skin. 

Helichrysum Essential Oil

Much beloved for its many skin benefits, Helichrysum is known to have calming, soothing properties. Also called the 'Everlasting Flower', its oil is often incorporated into anti-aging skin aids. Helichrysum contains an anti-inflammatory substance called arzanol, which plays a part in healing wounds. Helichrysum can be used as a sun soother to calm irritated skin, as well as helping to promote healthy skin cell regeneration for a youthful glow.
