Golden Yolk Serum

Apply a few drops to clean, slightly damp skin and gently massage into your face and neck. Applying to damp skin helps seal in moisture and allows a little serum to go a long way.

Use morning, evening, or both. For extra hydration, layer under your favorite Urban Farm balm.

Tip: Our favorite way to use it is right after misting with one of our hydrosols while skin is still slightly damp.

Pastured Egg Yolks | Naturally rich in fatty acids, phospholipids, proteins, and fat-soluble vitamins. Egg yolks help condition and nourish the skin while supporting softness, elasticity, and a healthy-looking skin barrier.

Jojoba Oil | Technically a liquid wax ester rather than a traditional oil, jojoba closely resembles components of the skin’s natural sebum. It absorbs beautifully, helps reduce moisture loss, and conditions the skin without a heavy feel.

Grass-Fed Tallow | Rich in skin-compatible fatty acids, including oleic, stearic, and palmitic acids. Tallow provides rich emollient moisture that helps soften the skin and support its protective lipid barrier.

Calendula | Traditionally used to soothe dry and irritated skin. Calendula contains naturally occurring plant compounds, including carotenoids and flavonoids, with antioxidant properties that help support calm, healthy-looking skin.

Marshmallow Root | A gentle botanical traditionally used for dry, sensitive, and irritated skin. Our marshmallow root is slowly infused into jojoba as part of Golden Yolk’s soothing botanical infusion.

Vitamin E | A lipid-soluble antioxidant that helps protect skin lipids from oxidative stress while conditioning and supporting the skin barrier.

Turmeric CO₂ Extract | A concentrated botanical extract containing naturally occurring antioxidant compounds. Turmeric helps support a calm, even, healthy-looking complexion.

Frankincense Essential Oil | An aromatic botanical traditionally used in skincare for its toning and soothing properties.

Helichrysum Essential Oil | Often used in facial care for dry, mature, and sensitive skin. Helichrysum contains naturally occurring aromatic compounds and is valued for its soothing and conditioning properties.

Low-PUFA Formula | Golden Yolk is intentionally formulated around stable fats and wax esters, including jojoba and tallow, rather than relying on highly polyunsaturated oils as its base. This helps give the serum excellent oxidative stability while providing rich, protective moisture for the skin.

Turmeric, Frankincense, and Helichrysum are included in the Original formula only. An Essential Oil-Free option is also available.

It starts with the egg. Golden Yolk is made with pastured egg yolks from our own flock, which we gather and freeze-dry ourselves before incorporating them into the serum. Yolks are naturally rich in fatty acids and fat-soluble vitamins that make them an incredible whole-food ingredient for nourishing the skin. Paired with jojoba, grass-fed tallow, calendula, marshmallow root, and vitamin E, you get a simple but incredibly nutrient-dense serum that supports soft, calm, healthy-looking skin and that Golden Yolk glow.
