Based on the beloved Urban Farm original! Our Golden Yolk soap is a delight for the skin; full of nourishing moisture, protein, and antioxidants. This sweet, soothing, full-body cleanse will have you feeling sunny-side-up!
Pure ingredients: Tallow, olive oil, coconut oil, castor oil, carrot juice, lye*, eggs (yolks + white), turmeric powder, raw honey
*lye is needed to saponify the oils, which are then cured for an extended time so that no lye is in the final product.
The Star Ingredients
Eggs are rich in essential fatty acids which can lend moisture to the skin and create a radiant look. Applying egg yolks to your face helps to regenerate cells, and the presence of vitamin B3 is known for its anti-inflammatory properties. Yolks are also high in Vitamin A, which is wonderful for acne prone skin. The proteins in eggs can help to improve elasticity. Contains Vitamins E and D.
Tallow is deeply nourishing and moisturizing.
The fatty acids in tallow are much closer in molecular structure to the oils our own skin produces than the more commonly used plant oils. In addition, tallow is extremely rich in the same kinds of lipids present in youthful, vibrant skin. Being chock full of vitamins A, D, E, & K doesn't hurt either!
Turmeric is a strong anti-inflammatory and antiseptic agent that may be beneficial for areas of irritation and redness. Turmeric is believed to cleanse, clarify, smooth, calm, invigorate, and brighten the skin; generally supporting skin health. Turmeric may also diminish the appearance of blemishes and wrinkles.
Olive oil is a non-comedogenic oil, great for the oil cleansing method, which is a natural method of removing dirt and oils from the skin. It is a humectant, working to draw in and hold moisture in the skin's barrier.
Raw honey not only feels luscious, it has antibacterial and soothing properties that make it a skin healing powerhouse. It reduces redness, and encourages regeneration and repair.
Honey's humectant properties help the skin absorb and retain moisture.
Carrot juice is rich in vitamins A and C! It is known to help increase cell turnover, brighten the complexion, and protect against sun damage.
I switched from toxic field shower, gels a while ago. But when I found this amazing golden yolk soap, it has become the only soap I use in the shower. And honestly, I use it from head to toe. I keep this in stock. It will probably be on my Christmas gift giving list this year.
I'm not sure what it is but I love this soap. I have been using natural soaps for a couple of years, trying different brands. But this one is perfect! I think I found the one I was looking for :)
This soap is amazing! I use it on my face and body. My skin feels luxurious after using. It doesn’t break my face out and just feels like it nourishes my skin. I love all the products I’ve tried and I will be a life long customer! Thank you for such amazing products that are not harmful! I even use on my grand babies! They have eczema and it has done wonders for their skin!
