Low in PUFAs
Each ingredient in our skincare line is low in PUFAs (Polyunsaturated Fatty Acids). This means that each component is stable and less prone to oxidation. In contrast, many food and beauty products are made with high-PUFA oils, which become rancid and create an inflammatory response in the complexion, whether ingested or applied topically. Not so here!
Ingredients: Organic Cold pressed golden jojoba oil infused with Calendula*, Marshmallow root*, Myrrh resin, Lemon Balm leaf*, Horsetail*, Turmeric root*, Meadowfoam seed oil, Vitamin E oil*, Fermented Sugarcane Squalane, Green Caviar oil, Blue Tansy Essential oil
Jojoba oil
Low PUFA Jojoba Oil has lovely anti-inflammatory properties which help to tame chaffing and chapping, reduce redness caused by drying, ease the effects of eczema and rosacea, and keep skin calm and comfortable. The Vitamin E and B-complex vitamins in the Jojoba Oil also help in skin repair. Jojoba is similar to our own skin’s sebum, making it bio-adaptable and easy to absorb without clogging pores.
Horsetail
One of the oldest living plants, Horsetail is an enduring, ancient grass with healing and helpful benefits for your complexion! This reed-like, mineral-rich botanical has been shown to aid collagen synthesis, boost wound healing, and offer an anti-inflammatory effect when used topically.
Calendula
This sunny little flower is rich in antioxidants, and is nourishing to the nines! Calendula can help to soothe irritation and reduce sensitivity, as well as decrease redness. Calendula’s skin-soothing benefits can likely be attributed to its anti-inflammatory properties and ability to limit trans-epidermal water loss. This can strengthen your skin’s defenses against potential irritants. Calendula is also particularly rich in linoleic acid, the most abundant fatty acid in your skin’s natural moisture barrier. Thus, calendula can help to maintain skin hydration and health.
Vitamin E oil
Your skin’s faithful friend, here to defend and rejuvenate. Antioxidant-rich Vitamin E helps to reduce hyperpigmentation and scarring, while protecting your complexion from everyday pollutants and environmental stressors. Its moisturizing properties can make your skin appear more firm and youthful, as well as helping to slow down the aging process.
Turmeric Root
Redness, begone. Turmeric is a strong anti-inflammatory and antiseptic agent that may be beneficial for areas of irritation and redness. Turmeric is believed to cleanse, clarify, smooth, calm, invigorate, and brighten the skin; generally supporting skin health. Turmeric may also diminish the appearance of blemishes and wrinkles.
Fermented Sugarcane Squalane
Calming. Protecting. Hydrating. We love Squalane! The human body makes its own version of this skin-powerhouse, but the amount we make and keep decreases as we age. Sugarcane squalane steps in to replenish lost moisture for youthful glow and elasticity, while forming a protective barrier against the day-to-day stressors that impact your skin. It absorbs quickly and beautifully, for a weightless, dreamy softness.
Myrrh Resin
This treasured ancient botanical encourages new cell growth and may help to prevent and ease facial lines. Because myrrh helps to improve circulation, it is beneficial for aging skin, helping to create a more youthful look.
Green Caviar Oil
Gathered from the seaweed Caulerpa lentillifera, this Pacific Oceanic algae is composed of gorgeous strands of tiny pearly-green pods. While the plant may look and sound like an emerald fish roe, it’s entirely plant-based. Green Caviar Oil boasts an amazingly high and diverse bioactive fatty acid profile, along with sea-rich minerals, antioxidants, and phytochemicals that remineralize skin and hair, boost collagen production, and reduce dark, puffy under-eye circles. This exceptional oil-rich marine organism is a wonderful source of omega-3 fatty acids, which are anti-inflammatory and moisture-locking to improve the elasticity and integrity of your skin. It’s the most luxurious food imaginable for your complexion!
Lemon Balm
This heaven-scented herb is full of antioxidants that combat the nutritional, environmental, and oxidative stressors that age and wear on your skin. A gentle astringent, lemon balms helps to tone and refresh your skin, aiding circulation and helping to cleanse and tighten pores with its antibacterial properties. A balm, indeed!
Meadowfoam Seed Oil
This dreamy, lightweight oil is rich in beneficial fatty acids, making it ideal for all skin types to seal in moisture and create a soft, supple feeling. Meadowfoam Oil is rich in anxtioxidants to help prevent sun damage and reduce oxidative stress.
Marshmallow Root
The anti-inflammatory properties of marshmallow root may help relieve skin irritation caused by acne, furunculosis, eczema, and dermatitis, as well as aiding in wound healing. Marshmallow root may enhance the appearance of skin that has experienced UV damage.
Blue Tansy Oil
Beautiful blue tansy: you are more than a gorgeous indigo color! Topical application has skin-soothing properties and helps to reduce the appearance of blemishes on the skin. Blue Tansy is nicknamed Moroccan chamomile because it comes from the chamomile family and exhibits similar properties. It is good for skin conditions like dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis, and acne, and it has a light, pleasing floral smell to boot.
