How to use: Begin with a clean face, patted dry. Apply a facial oil or moisturizer. You want something with staying power here so that your gua sha glides along your skin. Our absolute favorites? Silky Golden Yolk and Aussie Glow! Now, massage away! Take your gua sha and start at the base of your neck. Using a light scraping motion, work your way up to your jawline. Scrape up, towards your forehead, going over your jawline, chin, and mouth. Scrape across your cheeks and gently press under the eyes and across your eyebrows. Finish up with more upward scrapes on the forehead up to the hairline. Repeat daily for lymphatic drainage and improved circulation. Do not use on rashes, sunburns, or open wounds.

*Note: the practice of gua sha is meant to encourage blood circulation, and often causes slight "bleeding" under the skin. Without rupturing capillaries, blood is circulated and brought toward the surface by way of the "scraping" pressure. You may experience light bruising, and you may see small red dots on the skin (called petechiae) following treatmentDon't be alarmed! Bruising and rash-like dots are normal and will fade away. Keep a medium pressure (not too heavy, and not too gentle), and your skin will thank you!
